What counts as a “vetted” listing?
We check each call against the organiser's own page before it goes live: deadline, fee, eligibility and prizes. Calls that claim broad rights over your images, or charge to exhibit without a real selection process, are left out.
Is ShutterCalls free?
A free account lets you search everything and see the first eight results of any search. Premium ($9/month or $49/year) unlocks full listing details, saved lists and every result.
How are deadlines kept current?
Status is recalculated every day from each listing's deadline. Recurring awards roll forward to their next expected edition and are marked “Estimated” until the organiser confirms dates.
Do you cover jobs as well as open calls?
Yes. Picture-desk, museum, academic and science photography roles are listed alongside grants, residencies and awards.
